With a background in healthcare, insurance and financial education, and a heart deeply rooted in service, Sonia saw firsthand how financial instability could impact every area of life—from housing to education to overall well-being.

 

Driven by a passion to break generational cycles and create access to real, relatable financial education, she launched Moolah Matter$ with a mission: to make money make sense for everyone.

 

Sonia believes that financial literacy isn’t just about dollars and cents—it’s about dignity, empowerment, and freedom. Her unique approach blends education with energy, combining real-life experiences, culturally relevant content, and a “no shame, just support” mindset.

 

Under her leadership, Moolah Matter$ has become more than a nonprofit—it’s a movement. And she’s just getting started.
